17’s 3D SKIN surface function offers tool nose radius compensation as a built-in feature along with Auto Z-Level roughing for both simple and complex toolpath. Version 17 supports 2-Axis Lathe with Grooving, Slotting, Facing and Automatic Roughing including all built-in Collision Detection. Customizable tool libraries and CAM Tool menu make tool selection easy.
Manufacturing -
Post Processors are not only added, they are fully customizable and are easily setup for all g-code based controls. Before actually sending the NC code to the machine, you can use the Solid NC Verification option to preview the complete part cut from your defined solid stock to check for errors in the NC program.
RS232 Communications and DNC capabilities for PC based controls eliminate the need for separate communications software and makes the Version 17 virtually Turnkey for all CNC g-code based controllers. Whether you’re writing NC programs for basic machine functions or 3D surfaces, Version 17 gets it done just as fast and accurate as many of the more expensive systems.
